Hi, I’m Rachel
MY STORY
Growing up barefoot on a farm in Southern California, and in a creative family, my love for authenticity and photography began at a young age. My uncle was a travel photographer who photographed the places and people of the world and would share his stunning images with me by projecting them massively across my parent’s bedroom wall. I was so captivated by how his photos told stories, froze time, and captured the beauty of life in a way words couldn’t. When I was around 12 years old, my uncle was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and retired from photography, passing on all his equipment to me. It was a bittersweet, pivotal moment that set me on the path to becoming a photographer myself.
I went on to study photography at the Art Institute in Hollywood, and after graduating, I moved to San Francisco where I had the honor to work with the incredibly talented Amanda Wei, an exceptional wedding photographer. For eight years, I had the privilege of learning from Amanda — developing my skills, my style, and my approach to storytelling through the lens. Together, we had the opportunity to work all over California — from San Diego to Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Napa, Yosemite, and more. We were also incredibly lucky to be invited to travel beyond the Golden State with shoots in Texas, Hawaii, and Paris.
After almost a decade in the traditional wedding industry, I felt called to create something that felt truer to my vision. In 2024, I moved to the Pacific Northwest and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. This new chapter has inspired me to launch my own photography brand, one that focuses on authenticity, emotion, and timelessness. I’m deeply passionate about capturing and celebrating life’s real moments — the ones that reflect who we truly are — and creating memories that last a lifetime which brings me here, today.
Cheers to the memories, cheers to you, and Cheers to Us!
“As a child, I loved sitting on the floor of my parents' closet, surrounded by bins and bins of photos from our life. The awkwardness of the occasional JC Penney portrait would make me chuckle, but it was the candid shots — the real, unposed moments — that truly captivated me.
That’s what I want to do for others. Create beautiful images of their lives that will stop them in their tracks and transport them back to that moment for the rest of time. ”
